Unit 58 looks forward to a year of service and caring for disabled veterans as well as honoring the sacrifice of those who serve. Enhancing the lives of veterans, military and their families, both at home and abroad is one of the major activities of the American Legion Auxiliary. For God and country the Auxiliary advocates for veterans and strives to educate citizens, mentor youth, and promote patriotism, good citizenship, peace and security.

There are many opportunities to volunteer in the activities planned for the coming year. Help from the community is welcome and appreciated. Susan Shaw is coordinating efforts for future events. She can be reached at 630-440-4942.

The next meeting for Auxiliary Unit 58 will be Saturday, August 27 at 11:30 a.m. at the American Legion Post 58, 16837 Parkview Avenue.
