Anti-Christians and the many in number who have been disillusioned by the Christian religion must realize comfort and reassurance by the attacks from church leaders against Pastor David Felten. Why? Because he has a different interpretation of the Bible.
Quite by coincidence, last Sunday’s sermon was based on the Bible verse Matthew 12:1-14.
The pious and self-righteous religious leaders were attacking Jesus for his different interpretation of their strict, illogical and inflexible religious law. So this kind of religious intolerance (I’m the only correct answer, you’re wrong) has been going on for thousands of years.

Mahatma Ghandi once said, “Christianity is a great religion, but unfortunately no one really follows the teachings.”
Religious convictions are not going to change and the bewildered bystanders must wonder if Christianity really has value.
This vitriolic spewing of anger, hatred and intolerance has serious consequences. A beautiful, brilliant and loving young person from the Methodist church recently visited another church in Fountain Hills and she came back asking, “Why do they hate me because I attend the Methodist church?”
Do you want your children to be reared in such a negative, bitter environment of intolerance?
We must learn to listen to the admonishment from the Prophet Micah, “6:8 And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”
Isn’t this good advice and a better way to live together in peace and love?
