H.E. "Gene" Vogt passed away at age 92. Gene was a fixture at MCO Realty in Fountain Hills, working into his 80's. Gene was better known, however, as The Man Who Sold Lake Havasu To The Rest Of The World. As the ultimate salesman, he created the idea of "gifting" well qualified potential buyers, a free flight and mini vacation with a heavy sales pitch, at the new resort, Lake Havasu Arizona. Lake Havasu Airlines eventually flew over 100,000 people to see property, with a very high closing rate. Gene went on to develop a large project in Australia, and worked marketing other ventures before settling in to selling homes in Fountain Valley at the end of his career. He is survived by his 5 children, 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a goFundMe to benefit young pilot candidates, in honor of Gene Vogt's passion for Aviation.https://gf.me/u/yi7zyg
