Fountain Hills resident organizes fourth annual ‘Food Drive for Residents’

Food bank partners with four businesses to aid in hunger support

The fourth annual “Food Drive for Residents” is now in session. Community members can donate food items by Feb. 28. Five years ago, Fountain Hills resident Steve Baggio decided he wanted to help those who were hungry after the hustle and bustle of the holiday season.

“People are hungry 365 days of the year,” Baggio said. “Many times, it’s after the holidays when people need as much help as possible.”

Baggio loaded his truck with food donations from friends and neighbors, and the Food Drive for Residents was born.
