The Loop 101 (Pima Freeway) improvement project continues this weekend, during which time the freeway will be closed southbound, as well as other restrictions, between Indian School and McKellips roads.

This weekend drivers can expect the following restrictions in the Scottsdale and Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community areas:

*Loop 101 southbound CLOSED between Indian School and McKellips roads from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 8). DETOUR: Two detour routes are available. Drivers can exit at Chaparral and go west to Hayden then south to either McKellips or the westbound Loop 202. The secondary route is to exit at Indian School, go west to Pima Rd. then South to McDowell and east to Alma School or Country Club. Drivers can also use other freeway routes, including SR 51.

*Loop 101 northbound narrowed to two lanes near McKellips Road from 10 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday (Sept. 8).

*Loop 101 southbound narrowed to two lanes between Mountain View Road and 90th Street from 10 p.m. to 7 a.m. Saturday (Sept. 6). Loop 101 southbound off-ramp at 90th Street and on-ramp at Shea Boulevard closed. DETOUR: To access Loop 101 from Shea Boulevard use 90th Street.
