On my morning walk Thursday, Sept. 28, I was angered to see so many cardboard flyers all over curbs and throughout in just about every house I went past. The flyers I saw were all the same, from the “No New Taxes AZ” organization.

The frustration is 100% not political, I would have been equally upset had it been for the FHUSD bond, or from a completely different cause altogether.

When my family goes out of town, we take steps to make sure our house doesn’t look like no one is home. One of those steps is asking for mail to be held. Burglars will often target homes that show signs that no one may be home. A giveaway of that is seeing flyers on the property that have not been picked up for a day or two.

Even if legal, it not only creates an eyesore, it could potentially encourage break-ins. In the future, I hope that these ads are sent through the mail, not thrown by mailboxes on the ground, driveways, etc.
