Lorraine Barbara (Curylo) Grzesik

Posted

Lorraine Barbara (Curylo) Grzesik passed away peacefully on May 20, 2024 after a long and fruitful life. She was born June 19, 1926 to Walter and Blanche Curylo in Chicago.
Lorraine was an avid bowler starting a bowling league with her husband 37 years ago in Fountain Hills. She continued to bowl with the Fountain Hills Bowling league until her 96th birthday. She loved playing bingo at the Fort and playing cards with her sons, daughters, and grandkids when they came to visit. Lorraine graduated from Kelley High School in Chicago, IL, married Alexander Grzesik, and was very involved with St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Hazelcrest, IL. Lorraine and Alex had five children, 19 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. She was employed as an executive assistant to the VP of Human Resources for Sears, Roebuck & Company for 12 years at Sears Tower in downtown Chicago.
There are so many wonderful memories of parties with her brothers’ and sisters’-in-law families. She was a wonderful ‘mom’ to her Sons-in-law and Daughters-in-law whom she loved as dearly as all her other children.
Lorraine is predeceased by her husband, Alex; her brothers, Myles (Adeline), Edward (Pat) and Richard (Rose) Curylo; and her two grandsons; Mark Pikosz (5) and Luke Pikosz (36). She is survived by Michael (Linda) Grzesik; Judy (Rich) Pikosz; Susan (Tom) Trzaskus; Jane (Jim) Richards; and Paul (Kim) Grzesik.
