The Town Council voted 5-2 in favor of considering an ordinance/pledge that would infringe on all of our rights. The issue is being cleverly masked as a non-discrimination ordinance that specifically calls out lesbian, bi-sexual, gay, and transgender people as being a “protected” group. This assault is not on your faith, but it is an assault on your freedom.
To Town Council, your action on this matter has alerted the voters in this town to your aggressive bullying of those who choose to live free. Continuing with this ordinance/pledge will activate the voters against you.
To those people who are pursuing this agenda, your call to action has been heard. In a country where you are already guaranteed protection, we must question your motive for this attack on those who do not support your lifestyle. You have no more right to tell me what I can or can’t do than I have to tell you what you can or can’t do. Would it be acceptable for me to force you to have Jerry Falwell speak at your next gathering or require you to bake a cake with an offensive slogan?

To Fountain Hills citizens, you need to act now. This initiative does not provide the LBGT community any additional protection from discrimination. It gives them a weapon to use against those who don’t agree with them. Why else would they want to come to your church and tell you what to preach?
Regardless of where you stand on the moral question of sexuality, recognize that this type of ordinance is designed to take freedom away.
Contact your council representative immediately and encourage them to vote against this. Show up at the Nov. 20 Town Council meeting at 6:30 and show your support for those council members who want to protect freedom for all of us.
