We came from New Jersey where our property tax was over $13,000 per year for a home with the same value as our Fountain Hills home, and this was 12 years ago.
When we were buying our home here, we were told what the property tax would be. I asked if that was per month. I was pleasantly surprised to learn that the low number was per year.
Fountain Hill’s residents, living in this beautiful town, should understand how little they pay for property taxes, relative to other states. This is a necessary increase and we will gladly pay it, after coming from a really high tax state. We will be voting yes for the property tax referendum to keep our town safe and beautiful.
