Lupe C. Botello passed away on May 16, 2014. She was born in El Paso, Texas in 1921.
Lupe became a resident of San Bernardino, Calif. at a young age and lived there until she moved to Fountain Hills in 2010.
Lupe is survived by her husband of 71 years, Ralph, who lives with his daughter, Pat, and son-in-law, Charlie Vascellaro.
Lupe leaves three grandchildren, Charles Vascellaro of Baltimore, Chris Vascellaro of San Diego, Calif. and Stefanie Morse and husband, Walter, of Bridgewater, N.J. Great-grandchildren Dylan and Courtney Morse brought much joy to her. Lupe is preceded in death by her mother, Candeleria Casas; brother, Joe Casas; and sister, Jessie Medina.
Her education was completed in San Bernardino at Alessandro, Sturges Junior High and San Bernardino High School.
After high school she began working for the County of San Bernardino. She concluded her working career with the State of California where she worked for more than 30 years. Lupe retired in 1977.
Lupe loved sewing for both herself and her daughter, loved playing tennis, loved movies and attending the theater. She and her husband were involved for several years with the San Bernardino Democratic Club.
Graveside services will be held in San Bernardino, Calif. on Friday, May 23, at Mountain View Cemetery.
