The Ladies in Fellowship Together (LIFT) women’s group at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church held its annual spring travel event in May.

The group met at the White Chocolate Grill restaurant in Scottsdale to enjoy lunch together and continued on to the Musical Instrument Museum (MIM).

The MIM is a state-of-the-art interactive media presentation that allows guests to see instruments, hear their sounds and observe them being played in their original contexts, according to a press release.

The displays in the Geographic Galleries explain the universal role of music across all cultures. Upward of 6,000 instruments from all over the world can be viewed at the MIM.

A docent accompanied the group to highlight individual exhibits and present additional information about the instruments and the countries.
