Trinity Lutheran Church pastor Tom Daly has received a call from Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City.

He was called to Trinity Lutheran in December 2005. The church is located at 13770 N. Fountain Hills Blvd.

The local call committee has reviewed the resumes of more than 25 potential candidates and narrowed the list to three in the event that Daly decides to accept the call. One candidate visited the weekend of May 17-19.

A congregational meeting will be scheduled for the purpose of issuing a call should the committee

agree to move forward.

Daly is a native Arizonan born in Tucson and raised in the West Valley. His parents were both dance instructors with Arthur Murray, and his father was the owner of the dance studio here in Phoenix.

Pastor Daly Sr. became a second career pastor, moving the family to Central Illinois. Pastor Tom graduated from Pekin Community High School and Eureka College, both in Illinois.

He attended seminary at Fort Wayne, Indiana, and received his first call to serve a congregation in Western New York, south of Buffalo in 1984.

He later served four different congregations in Central Illinois before he moved here.
