I can’t help to think that Councilman Magazine is just “stuck on stupid” after listening and reading about his version of events regarding his four violations of our town’s Code of Ethics.
Mr. Magazine willfully and wantonly obtained the private cellphone number of Ms. Bellenir and then called and threatened her with a civil lawsuit. In essence, abusing his power and shutting down her freedom of speech. Ms. Bellenir was simply trying to determine the facts regarding a specific situation.
Ms. Bellenir chose to file a complaint with Town Hall. Because you refused to meet with her, a mediator was hired and you refused to meet with him. So she filed a formal complaint and the town hired a retired Court of Appeals judge, working as an Ethics Reviewer.

You had every opportunity to present your side of the story to the judge.
When the judge opined against you, you got angry with the judge? Duh! The judge’s job is to listen to both sides and determine who is telling the truth.
The bottom line is that the judge did not believe you. He believed you willfully and wantonly violated four articles of our Code of Ethics. I don’t know what part of the country you came from, but this is how the system works, Mr. Magazine. In addition, you admitted your wrongdoing to the Mayor and Town Manager.
Ms. Bellenir clearly stated at each level of the process that all she ever wanted was an apology. But no, you had to prove just how “stuck on stupid” you are by denying any wrongdoing and then even lying about other things that never took place.
Mr. Magazine, you have only yourself to blame. You made your bed and now you can lay in it!
