Mae Kuntz of Fountain Hills went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2014. She was born on April 19, 1930 to Bernard and Ruth Parker of Michigan.
After moving to Arizona from Lake Orion, Mich. in 1977 she married Robert Kuntz in 1985. She was a self-employed tax consultant, real estate broker, poet and author of the book “When the Heart Hurts, the Rest of Life Does Too.”
She was a member of the National Society of Tax Preparers, American Christian Writers, Fountain Hills Christian Writers Club and a board member of Fountain Hills Community Church.
Mae is survived by husband, Robert Kuntz; sons, Don Hughes, Thomas Hughes, James Hughes and Terry Kuntz; daughters, Roxann Richards and Cris Parker-Weappa; sister, Bernice Rider; brothers, Claude Parker, Frank Parker, Richard Parker and Ralph Parker; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.
Mae loved to golf, bowl, skeet shoot, play horse-shoes and go hunting and fishing. Mae’s motto was “If it ain’t fun, I ain’t goin’,” so her family is sure that Heaven must be fun.
Services will be held Monday, May 12, at 11 a.m., First Baptist Church of Fountain Hills at 10215 N Saguaro Blvd. Please send donations to Hospice of Arizona in lieu of flowers. Arrangements entrusted to Messinger Fountain Hills Mortuary.
