Man rescued from dumpster/compactor at FH Walgreen's

Fountain Hills Fire Department was called to the Walgreen's store on Palisades and Avenue of the Fountains about 9 a.m. Thursday after employees of the store heard calls for help and a man trapped inside a dumpster/trash compactor behind the store.

Fire Chief Randy Roberts said the man was rescued from the dumpster but refused treatment by paramedics and transport to the hospital.

The Maricopa County Sheriff's Office is investigating further.
