Justin Kuhel stopped off in Fountain Hills during his March Across America, a long hike to raise funds for military charities. In town, Comfort Inn owner Sam Trivedi welcomed Kuhel and his mother, who is driving the support van on her son's journey. Comfort Inn's Rick Holden (pictured) made sure Kuhel and Co. had everything they needed for the stay.
March Across America founder, Corporal Justin Kuhel, made his way into Fountain Hills Tuesday evening, Sept. 15, for a brief rest before heading on to Phoenix.
Kuhel began his 2,700 mile journey in North Carolina and, for the past 119 days, has been on a quest to reach Camp Pendleton in California. The projected completion date is Oct. 10.
Not simply marching across the country for his health, Kuhel is accepting donations for his actions on behalf of the Headstrong Project and Help Our Military Heroes.

At present, Kuhel has raised nearly $40,000 of his $100,000 goal. If he doesn't hit his milestone by the time he reaches California, he plans to turn around and start marching back across the country until his mission is complete.
Along the way, Kuhel has relied on the support and kindness of strangers to keep him going. Locally, Comfort Inn owner Sam Trivedi put Kuhel up for the night, along with his mother, who is driving the support van.
For those interested in offering support to Kuhel's cause, donations can be easily made at marchacrossamerica.org. More information about Kuhel's journey, as well as information on the charities he is supporting, can be found there.
