I watched in utter amazement during the FHCCA debate as one candidate stated the Fountain could not run full time because it would be too costly.
What narrow short-sided thinking. Has he lost his way?! Candidate Lina Bellenir is the only one that understands how important our Fountain really is to the ambience of our town. Our Fountain is our heritage and it is what brings visitors to Fountain Hills, and it is our heart and soul.
Every event that takes place in our town is centered on and around the Fountain! Advanced technology was formerly presented to the council, including the aforementioned incumbent candidate, and town manager which would dramatically lower costs, keep the lake aerated (no more smell) and allow our Fountain to run much more often!

Previous council members failed to address the age and operation of the Fountain, and thereby have marginalized it. Lina understands its importance to tourism and that is why many of us will be voting for Lina Bellenir.
Lina is correct when she stated there is no need “to reinvent ourselves” or “introduce ourselves to the Valley” as was stated by another candidate during the aforementioned debate.
We have our Fountain, and we need Lina on council to make this happen. Please remember our vote is our power. So I encourage you to vote for Lina Bellenir.
