Maricopa County Planning & Zoning Commission to consider development zoning

Goldhawk at the Preserve off SR87 east of Fort McDowell

Maricopa County Planning and Zoning Commission is scheduled to discuss a rezoning application for approximately 1,940 acres of property that adjoins the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation and the Goldfield Ranch subdivision. The site is east of Fountain Hills along SR 87/Beeline Highway.

The Planning and Zoning Commission hearing and discussion have been scheduled for 9:30 a.m. Thursday, May 8, at the Maricopa County Board of Supervisors auditorium in Phoenix.

The property owners, Goldfield Ranch Realty Holdings, LLC/Four Peaks Holdings, LLC, are asking that existing zoning on the property be changed to a single consistent designation of Rural-43 RUPD. The owners are represented by attorney Wendy Riddell with Berry Riddell, LLC who is the applicant for the rezoning request. The proposed subdivision is known as Goldhawk at the Preserve.
