Marijuana dispensary, ethics violations on Fountain Hills council agenda

Meeting Tuesday, March 5

The Fountain Hills Town Council will revisit a request from the medical marijuana dispensary in town when it meets for a regular session on Tuesday, March 5. The council will also discuss and consider action related to a report from an ethics investigator that Councilman Allen Skillicorn is in violation of the Town Code of Ethics.

An independent investigator has found that Skillicorn is in violation of the Code of Ethics for the Town Council related to two incidents that occurred since September 2023. He was found not to have violated ethics policy related to his social media accounts that generated complaints.

Investigator Tina Vannucci, an attorney with Fitzgibbons Law in Casa Grande, determined that Skillicorn had violated the town’s ethics policy Sept. 16, 2023, when he is alleged to have pursued a town employee in an aggressive manner in an effort to retrieve a political sign removed by a code enforcement officer.
