Thank you to all who stopped by our Marine Corps League Fountain Hills Detachment 1439 booth this past weekend at the Fountain Hills Art Fair! We handed out 800 Marine Roses in eight hours. The funds donated are being used to help us to bring comfort to veterans, support youth programs and provide humanitarian aid.

We had people from all walks of life stop by to support us and to share their stories; from Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force and Coast Guard veterans to retirees from all over the country, to children, families, the young and the young-at-heart. Thank you so much, your donations help us to assist wounded veterans and provide health and comfort items for hospitalized veterans; provide scholarships, humanitarian aid and assist local youth programs.

We were joined on Saturday by the East Valley Young Marines, who helped members – Tait Elkie, Dave Nelson, Phil and Debbie Yin, Bob and Bobbi Schmitz, Gene Wuestenfeld, Herb Spohr, Bob LaRue, Dan Margolis and Nancy Ogden – make this event so successful.
