Mary Helen C. Kattermann

A longtime resident of Rio Verde passed away on Nov. 29, 2017.

Mrs. Mary Helen C. (Holfelner) Kattermann was born in Columbus, Ohio on Dec. 20, 1940 and grew up in Haddonfield, N.J. She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Edward D. Holfelner.

She is survived by her beloved husband, George Kattermann Sr., whom she married on July 30, 1960; her four children, George Kattermann Jr. of Waunakee, Wis., Karen Konisky of Brookline, Mass., Kimberly Joy of Appleton, Wis., and Greta Carlson of Pocatello, Idaho; her siblings, Barbara Anne Holfelner and Edward D. Holfelner, Jr. both of Haddonfield, N.J. and her nine grandchildren.

Mrs. Kattermann was a graduate of Mater Misericordia Academy in 1958 and attended Rosemont College, in Rosemont, Pa. She was a longtime member of the Rio Verde and Tonto Verde country clubs, where she was a highly accomplished golfer.

We as a family were so blessed to have such a loving wife, sister, mother, and grandmother. We will miss her deeply and wish her peace in God’s hands.

A private ceremony for family was held at Rio Verde on Dec. 5, 2017.
