Mary Henry

Mary Elizabeth Henry was born in Forest, Miss. on May 12, 1933. She passed away quietly in her bed at the age of 82 on Aug. 23, 2015, with her son and daughter by her side.

A former resident of Fountain Hills, she was residing at Bethesda Gardens Assisted Living Facility in Phoenix.

She is survived by her three children, Sherman W. Brogran of Dumas, Ark., Scott Shepston and his wife Robyn of Fountain Hills, and Allyson Shepston Bibler and her husband, Chad, of Fountain Hills.

She is also survived by her boyfriend and partner of 16 years, Leon Postel, of Phoenix.

She has six grandchildren, namely Cole Belt, Rachel Belt, Alysondra Shepston, Kayla Shepston, Austin Shepston, and Kenny Brogan; two bonus grandchildren, Kyndra and Jynsen Bibler; and her first great- grandchild is due on Oct. 6, 2015.

Memorial services were held at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills on Aug. 29, 2015, and her ashes were placed on Sept. 11, 2015, in the National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif., where she was placed with her husband, Kennth F. Henry, who predeceased her on Nov. 22, 1994.

Mary was one of four girls born to John and Frances Wilkerson, and she is survived by all three of her sisters, Lucille Stockton, Edna Neal, and Johnnie Faye Embry.

Mary will be remembered as a loving, loyal, and spunky mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her love and bright smile will be with us always, and she is dearly missed.
