Mary Lou Browne

Mary Lou Browne, 86, passed away on Nov. 16, 2014.

She was born in Elgin, Ill. on April 21, 1928 and was the daughter of Alma and Arthur Tracy. She resided in Elgin, where she raised her five children with her first husband, Gordon D. Abbott (deceased), until 1990 when she moved to Fountain Hills with her husband, Edward R. Browne, who passed away in December 2012.

They were married for more than 30 years.

Mary Lou loved to knit and in her later years contributed many hand knitted blankets to Project Linus.

She is survived by her children, Katherine Abbott; Michael Abbott; Ann Hayner; Mary Carol Abbott; Gordon Abbott; two stepchildren, Ross Browne and Alicia Williams; 10 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
