McCain

Several years ago, as a Republican State Committeeman, I attended a meeting in January regarding the business of the Republican Party in the state of Arizona.

During the meeting, and not on the agenda, Senator McCain appeared in the audience. Immediately after his appearance the organization broke into a booing of Senator McCain and he left the meeting.

A large number of Republicans asked for a closed primary for the Republican Party, like another political party has done. The theory is that only Republicans should be selecting the candidates that appear in the final election.

The Senator’s immediate followers did everything possible to stop the closed primary from happening in Arizona. If we had a closed primary, Senator McCain may not have been our candidate.

Senator McCain’s recent actions demonstrating his lack of respect toward our country and our president proves why he does not represent most Republicans in Arizona. If Senator McCain does not help to clean the swamp, but only be a part of the established swamp, we do not need him as our Republican Senator from Arizona.
