McDermott to resign tourism post

Frank Ferrara, CEO and president of the Fountain Hills Chamber of Commerce, announced today that Mark McDermott resigned his post as director of the group's Visitors Bureau, effective Oct. 31.

Ferrara said an ad hoc committee of the Chamber Board of Directors has been established to assist in the transition.

McDermott is a former director of the Arizona Office of Tourism and worked on a contract basis for the local Visitors Bureau.
