The Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has announced plans for asphalt preservative treatment of major roads at the Fort McDowell Yavapai Nation.

Work is scheduled to begin on Monday, Oct. 7, and continue through Friday, Oct. 18. Work hours will be between 6 a.m. and 4 p.m. No weekend or holiday work is anticipated.

The roads being treated include Fort McDowell Road between SR 87 (Beeline Highway) and Fort Loop Road. Also, East Mohave Road and East Yavapai Road will be treated between Fort McDowell Road and the Fountain Hills boundary.

The scope of the project includes applying the preservative, striping work, installing pavement markings and other miscellaneous and clean-up.

The work will restrict one lane of traffic at a time and a pilot car will be used to move traffic through the work zones. Motorists are asked to obey all traffic signs and use caution in work zones.
