Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 16, through Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Thursday, Oct. 16
*A resident of the 15000 block of Echo Hill Drive reported a subject fraudulently placed liens on several houses in a neighborhood.

MCSO reports on busy week in Fountain Hills

Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office District 7 substation in Fountain Hills is reporting deputies responded to the following calls during the week from Thursday, Oct. 16, through Wednesday, Oct. 22.
Thursday, Oct. 16
*A resident of the 15000 block of Echo Hill Drive reported a subject fraudulently placed liens on several houses in a neighborhood.
*Deputies made a traffic stop at Shea Boulevard and SR 87 on a vehicle with expired plates. A records check revealed the driver’s license was revoked. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*A deputy checked the license plate of a vehicle on the roadway on Saguaro Boulevard and Quinto Drive. Information came back as a reported stolen vehicle. Deputies contacted the driver and initiated a criminal investigation. The vehicle was returned to the rightful owner.
Friday, Oct. 17
*Deputies responded to Saguaro and El Lago boulevards for a call for service related to a suspicious person in a vehicle. Deputies initiated a DUI investigation based on the contact with the driver. The subject was processed for DUI, and it was reported that drug paraphernalia was found in their possession. Charges are pending lab results.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Palomino Blvd. reported a violation of a court order.
Saturday, Oct. 18
*Deputies responded to Shea Boulevard and Monterey Drive for a reported traffic collision. According to deputies, a driver failed to yield from a private drive and struck another vehicle. Subjects were transported to the hospital for minor injuries. Both vehicles were towed from the scene.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Kingstree Blvd. reported an unknown subject burglarized a residence.
*A resident of the 15000 block of Tacony Drive reported an unknown subject was witnessed stealing mail from a residence.
*Deputies responded to the 12000 block of Saguaro Blvd. for a reported private property traffic collision. Deputies reported a driver leaving a parking space struck a pedestrian. Minor injury was reported. No vehicles were towed.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Trevino Drive where a subject called to report their vehicle stolen. According to MCSO, it became apparent during the investigation that the vehicle owner had attempted to report the vehicle stolen to avoid prosecution for another criminal incident. The subject was charged with false reporting.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Trevino Drive reported a residential burglary. Deputies were able to locate a suspect who was booked into jail for the burglary.
Sunday, Oct. 19
Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Sunset Vista Drive for a reported single-vehicle traffic collision. According to deputies, a driver hit a curb causing damage to the vehicle. No injuries were reported, and the vehicle was towed from the scene.
Monday, Oct. 20
*Deputies responded to Saguaro Boulevard and Gunsight Drive where a traffic collision was reported. According to deputies, a driver failed to yield and struck another vehicle. No injuries were reported. One vehicle was towed from the scene.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Alamosa Ave. where it was reported an unknown subject stole the contents of a package that was delivered to a residence. The complainant did not wish to aid in prosecution.
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Shea Blvd. where it was reported an unknown subject shoplifted items from a business valued at approximately $600.
*A resident of the 12000 block of Mimosa Drive reported an unknown subject attempted to defraud the victim out of money as part of an online scam.
Tuesday, Oct. 21
*Deputies responded to the 16000 block of Firerock Country Club Drive for a reported private property hit-and-run vehicle collision. Deputies said a driver backed into a parked vehicle twice, then left the area without attempting to exchange information or report the incident. No injuries were reported, and no vehicles were towed.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on Shea Boulevard at Arista Lane. According to deputies, the driver was traveling 77 miles per hour where the speed limit is 50. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*A resident of the 17000 block of Desert Vista Trail reported a subject made telephonic threats against the victim.
*Deputies made a traffic stop at Shea and Saguaro boulevards on a vehicle with improper display of a license plate. A records check revealed the driver’s license was revoked. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
Wednesday, Oct. 22
*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards for a reported traffic collision. According to MCSO, a driver failed to control speed to avoid a collision and rear-ended a vehicle stopped in traffic. This caused a chain reaction resulting in three vehicles stopped in traffic being damaged (four total vehicles in collision). No injuries were reported, and one vehicle was towed.
*Deputies responded to Palisades Boulevard and Hampstead Drive for a reported single-vehicle traffic collision. According to deputies, a driver lost control and struck the raised center median of the roadway, then crossed oncoming lanes and came to rest in landscaping on the side of the road. Upon contacting the driver, deputies initiated a DUI investigation. Charges are pending lab results. No injuries were reported. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
*A resident of the 10000 block of Nicklaus Drive reported an unknown subject attempted to defraud the victim out of money as part of a scam.
*A resident of the 16000 block of Desert Fox Parkway reported an unknown subject used the victim’s personal information without permission to fraudulently gain access to the victim’s airline rewards points.
*Deputies made a traffic stop for criminal speed on McDowell Mountain Road Mile Post 1. According to deputies, the driver was traveling 84 miles per hour where the speed limit is 45. The driver was issued a criminal citation.
*Deputies responded to Shea and Palisades boulevards for a reported traffic collision. Deputies report that during the investigation, a records check of a vehicle revealed it had been stolen out of South Dakota. Deputies seized the vehicle and contacted the originating agency.
