If you want a strong national defense your choice for U.S. Senate is easy. McSally, using the experience of flying 325 combat hours in the A-10 as a pilot and leading hundreds of missions as an A-10 squadron commander, was the driving factor in a bipartisan effort convincing the Air Force and the President to prevent the A-10s from being “mothballed” in 2015 and 2016.
Martha continues to lead the fight for a stronger national defense by ensuring our troops have the resources they need to protect our nation efficiently and effectively. As a retired Air Force Colonel with 26 years of impeccable service, McSally understands national security and how the military works. Her education and leadership have translated into action in Congress.
Martha has the distinction of being the 11th most productive member of Congress. She’s sponsored 14 national security bills that have passed the House, including two that were signed into law by the President. Due to her hard work and experience, McSally was hand-picked to serve on a task force on combatting ISIS. The task force produced over 50 recommendations to improve authorities for targeting ISIS militants and keep Americans safe. She currently serves on the House Armed Services Committee.

However, security of our country begins on our southern border. Gangs and transnational criminal organizations exploit the porousness of our border every day. Ninety percent of the illegal drugs in our country come through our ports of entry.
McSally has been a leader on securing our ports of entry, bolstering technology and infrastructure, ensuring our Border Patrol is fully staffed, and addressing the critical security gaps on our southern border.
