The Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office provided the first update of 2026 to the Fountain Hills Town Council during its meeting on Tuesday, April 7, with Capt. Kevin Thomas spotlighting various statistics in the department.
Since taking over in March 2025, Thomas said he has tracked trends through town.
Law enforcement activity, uniform crime reports and uniform crime report comparisions were all presented to the council. Calls for service are divided into various categories, with “public generated” being when a member of the public initiates the call and “on view activity” being when a deputy generates a call such as a traffic or subject stop.
