MCSO Service dog bringing smiles to Fountain Hills schools

New program with Sheriff’s Office

A new member of the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office is making his way through Fountain Hills schools this year, and he’s been turning both heads and smiles.

Remi, a 10-month-old yellow labrador who earned the unofficial title of Chief Officer of Happiness, has joined Deputy and School Resource Officer Amber Hampton on local campuses.

During the pair’s recent visit to the high school, both students and faculty made their way into the front office for a few tummy rubs. Others eagerly showed up after hearing Remi was on campus only to hear the pair had taken off.
