I am sorry to see Rev. Andrea Martin-Boutselis, unlike Pope Francis, is not a scientist, repeating the same unsubstantiated data regarding the drug use by the high school students in Fountain Hills.
If you have numerous family members who struggle with addiction, that doesn’t make you an expert on marijuana. Did the parents know their children were taking part in a drug survey? One needs to ask who wrote and conducted this survey.
Anybody who studied statistical analysis will tell you a survey can be manipulated to get the results the writer wants if it is not done by a reputable, professional group of analysts. I am not a scientist, but I can read our local newspaper’s “Law Enforcement Report.” The children in this city are getting high on the LEGAL PRESCRIPTION DRUGS and ALCOHOL found in their own homes.

If you spent 10 years working with people in unspeakable pain and suffering, you should know medical marijuana is an extremely useful drug. A long list of medical and scientific leaders from around the world have spent their entire life working to determine that there is medical value in marijuana.
The list of patients who have been helped by MEDICAL MARIJUANA includes war veterans with PTS, children with autism, children and adults experiencing seizures with epilepsy, cancer patients who have extreme nausea and loss of appetite and the list goes on and on.
The voters of this state expressed their opinion about medical marijuana when they passed the law making it legal in Arizona. If you want the law changed, put it on the ballot. Your argument that the name of a drug i.e. “trainwreck” makes it any more lethal is as valid as Governor Ducey ordering the medical community to lie about their ability to reverse an abortion. The facts don’t support your conclusions.
