Medicare

I’m 71 years old, and my husband and I live on a fixed income. Like many other Arizona seniors, my husband and I depend on Medicare Advantage for our healthcare.

Medicare Advantage helps to keep us happy, healthy and active. The program covers my prescriptions, paid for me to receive two hip replacements and even took care of my subsequent physical therapy and rehabilitation.

Today, I’m back on my feet and at the gym weekly – thanks to a local gym membership provided through my Medicare Advantage plan.

I know there are many more seniors in Fountain Hills and across the Valley with similar stories to tell. They might be surprised to learn there is great uncertainty surrounding Medicare Advantage, as the federal government will very shortly consider future funding for the program.

Now more than ever, our elected leaders must maintain their commitment to this vital program, ensuring it remains intact and available now and in the future.

Congressman Schweikert: please fight for Medicare Advantage and the half-million Arizonans who rely on it. Thank you.
