Medicare for all

There’s been a lot of talk about Medicare for all, but void of any specifics.

Ignoring the fact that seniors paid into the program their entire working lives and even low income seniors continue to subsidize the program, let’s see if the new participants will do the same.

Will they be required to pay monthly premiums that will be deducted from their paycheck, welfare check, food stamps, etc.? Will they have an annual deductible, out of pocket copays for doctor visits, lab work, x-rays, etc. and be required to pay 20 percent of the charges not covered by Medicare and the full cost of prescription drugs? Will they be required to pay any inpatient hospital costs under part A of the program?

If the answer to any of the above is no, then it’s not Medicare. It’s a government-controlled, socialized medical program. How do we pay for it?

Let’s try to explain this so even the brilliant mind and economic financial wizardry of Ocasio Cortez can understand. Those at the itsy-bitsy top will get clobbered with taxes because we can’t allow success to go unpunished. Those on the teeny-weeny bottom, who never pay for anything, will continue to never pay for anything. And those meanie-in-betweenies, the hard-working middle class and beyond who always pay for everything, will continue to pay for everything in order to subsidize those who never pay for anything.

Now, we didn’t even discuss free education, which I guess is another right that our people pay for who have no rights and no sense challenging the queen of the green scheme because those who live in a fantasy bubble void of reality deserve to enjoy their delusion. Wake up, America. God bless America.
