Now that I have been accused of being untrue in my June 25 letter, I will let the readers judge.
In the June 18 article “Aquatic,” who said a municipally owned and operated aquatics complex in Lake Havasu City might be a model for the project?
Part of the article said the center combines pools, water lagoon, wave action, spray park, and a 257-foot enclosed water slide, and more. If this is not an example of a wet and wild park, what is?

Now that I have been accused of being untrue in my June 25 letter, I will let the readers judge.
In the June 18 article “Aquatic,” who said a municipally owned and operated aquatics complex in Lake Havasu City might be a model for the project?

Art Tolis said “In an ideal world, I would think you would want to locate it down near Fountain Park in the center of the community because that would be the draw that you want.” Tolis’ letter of July 2, there is no suggestion to have anything built at the Fountain Park. I stand corrected, he meant near the park in the center of the community. That’s just as bad!
Tolis and Guy Loisi asked The Times not to allow anyone to have a letter published with outright misleading information. Have they not heard of the First Amendment? Who is to judge what’s misleading?
Is their July 2 letter misleading, now that you have seen information and quotes from aquatic article of June 18?
Who appointed this committee? I guess they are self-appointed.
I wonder when a developer of aquatic centers, a mortgage department manager, and an architect who designs water parks got together to promote an aquatic center. Is there another reason for it, besides it’s good for the community?
I feel confident that educated residents are not going to stand for one- sided propaganda. They will make their voices and opinions heard.
I ask where is the odor of mendacity coming from? I leave it for the people to decide.
