Michael Eugene Warren, 60, of Fountain Hills, AZ, passed away May 23, with his family by his side.
Born in Cincinnati to Eugene and Kathleen Warren, Mike grew up in Lexington, attended Sayre School and graduated from the University of Kentucky, where he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity.
Mike dedicated his professional talents to Toyota Motor Manufacturing, primarily serving the Kentucky plant and supplier Green Metals Inc. in Quality Control management roles. Mike’s friendly, yet professional nature led to strong trust, friendships and positivity among employees of all levels.
Mike’s true pride and joy was his family; he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. Mike enjoyed taking family vacations, watching UK basketball (go CATS!), coaching his daughters’ softball teams and caring for his many beloved pets. Mike also served his faith by being a senior warden at the Church of the Resurrection in Kentucky and is now a member of St. Anthony’s on the Desert Episcopal Church in Scottsdale.
Mike is survived by his wife Celia, daughter Anne, daughter Jessica and her husband Dylan Eldridge and grandson Oliver of Phoenix, Ariz.; his father, Eugene Warren and sister Susan of Lexington, Ky. , sister Patricia Maiorino of Gambier, Ohio, her husband Nicholas and daughters Katherine and Kristen. Mike is also survived by extended family members to include his mother-in-law Jane Combs, sister-in law Catherine Laba and her husband Wally of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., his brother-in-law William Combs and his wife Jennifer, daughter Emily and son Samuel of Buford, Ga., and his brother-in-law Michael Combs of Lexington, Ky.
Visitation was held Friday, May 27, at Messinger Mortuary in Fountain Hills, with a funeral service Saturday, May 28, at St. Anthony on the Desert Episcopal Church in Scottsdale. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in his name to Arizona Small Dog Rescue or Toyota Bluegrass Miracle League.
