‘A Matter of Balance’ begins in January

“A Matter of Balance,” a workshop that teaches practical strategies to reduce the risk of falling, is planned from 1 to 3 p.m. every Friday from Jan. 16 through March 6 at the Community Center.
The workshops are beneficial to older adults who are concerned about falls and want to improve flexibility, balance and strength, according to a press release. A Matter of Balance is meant to help individuals feel more at ease on their feet.
The workshops are presented by doctoral students from health programs affiliated with the Arizona Coalition for Fall Prevention and sponsored by the School of Health Sciences at A.T. Still University in Mesa.
