Missing Jim

I was saddened to learn of Jim Hamblin’s passing last week.

Jim served on the Technical Advisory Committee for the Fountain Hills Strategic Planning Process in 2005.

Throughout the year-long process, he provided wise counsel, creative ideas and a widely-shared deep concern for the future of our town. And he did it with persuasiveness, tact and an unfailing sense of humor!

Missing Jim

Regular readers of the letters page will recall his unyielding advocacy for clean air. Others know him by his work building homes for the poor in Puerto Peñasco, his refuge from spring allergies.

Everyone in Fountain Hills will miss him, whether they knew him or not.
