The Town of Fountain Hills held its annual volunteer reception and awards presentation on March 26, to recognize the town’s outstanding volunteers for the past year.
Jo Moorman was named the 2015 Volunteer of the Year. She received the award in conjunction with the additional recognition as Outstanding Administration Volunteer for the year.
Moorman used her expertise in accounting to assist the Administration Department with support and assistance in working with auditors.

Moorman town Volunteer of the Year

The Town of Fountain Hills held its annual volunteer reception and awards presentation on March 26, to recognize the town’s outstanding volunteers for the past year.
Jo Moorman was named the 2015 Volunteer of the Year. She received the award in conjunction with the additional recognition as Outstanding Administration Volunteer for the year.
Moorman used her expertise in accounting to assist the Administration Department with support and assistance in working with auditors.
Her volunteer service outside Town Hall with the library and other entities was also noted.
Paul Appeldorn, the Volunteer of the year for 2014, received the Presidential Volunteer Lifetime Service Award.
This award is reserved for those who meet or exceed the requirement of 4,000 hours of lifetime service as a volunteer in ways that demonstrate exceptional community service.
Appeldorn has made volunteer service a central component of his life working through Kiwanis, coordinating blood drives, his local church and with the Chamber of Commerce, library and at Town Hall.
