I’d like to give a heartfelt thanks to all the restaurants and members of the community who gave of their time and money to help feed the homeless at the Watkins Shelter in Phoenix on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day.
The Fountains United Methodist Church is committed to providing dinner to the shelter at least once a month. On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, members of The Fountains, Congregation Beth Hagivot, and the community went to the Watkins Shelter to provide and serve dinner.

Food for Christmas Eve was donated by Phil Rodakis of Phil’s Filling Station Grill, Juan Gonzalez of Senor Taco, and Becky Campbell of Splendid Foods.
I’d like to give a special thanks to Becky Campbell of Splendid Foods, who coordinated our efforts and provided supplies. Her catering business and restaurant is located at 12015 N. Saguaro Boulevard, suite 102, next to the Water and Ice store just south of Verde Valley Nursery.
Starting this week she will be open for lunch and dinner from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday through Friday, and for dinner from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday; closed on Sunday and Monday. Please support our local restaurants that are so generous to the community.
