Mynars: Arizona House Bill 2842 goes way too far

Citizens of Fountain Hills: prepare to defend your castle and more. Arizona House Bill 2842 potentially would allow you to shoot (of course, if you own a weapon) anyone trespassing on your property. It goes beyond breaking into your castle to just stepping onto any little bit of your realm to protect your vassals and punish the invader, migrant and human traffickers possibly cleverly disguised as a neighbor or snowbird invading from Wisconsin.

With that in mind I’ve unpacked my trusty caulk gun, purchased a tube of white caulk for daytime encounters and one tube of black for night warfare (no cool night vision glasses yet) and stand ready to blast away, come what may.

And I have political backup: “This is a great Second Amendment bill that is also protecting the rights of the accused.” This, from Rep. Alexander Kolodin, one of our representatives. A great bill because it makes the crime of trespassing punishable by death?

Well, what can be said but: “Lock and load and remember this in November.”
