You spend over a million dollars tearing up a perfectly nice median and now you want to name it because it’s too dressed up to be called just a median? How ridiculous is that? It’s a freaking median for heaven’s sake! Sounds more like a high school glee club activity than a fiscally responsible city government.
Haven’t we learned anything from the recession?

Really?

It should not be the job of our representatives to find ways to spend our tax dollars. Rather our representatives should focus on fiscal responsibility, conserving what we have, perhaps even going so far as to create a surplus to ensure we can maintain our beautiful town when times are tough again. We’ve been living paycheck to paycheck at best. We all know how risky that is.
Stop acting like we have unlimited resources and behave like the fiscally-responsible adults you need to be. Your job is to protect, conserve, serve, and represent -- not find silly ways to spend tax dollars.
