Fountain Hills Youth Theater stages its premier production of the 2018-19 season with “Narnia” opening Friday, Sept. 21.
Narnia wants to sing, and from the excitement of the opening song, “Doors and Windows,” to the joy of “Narnia (You Can't Imagine”), your spirits will soar. “Narnia” is the musical adaptation of C.S. Lewis’ wonderful tale, “The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe,” the first and most famous story of The Chronicles of Narnia.
The musical follows four young children as they step into an apparently plain clothing wardrobe; when they are plucked from our world and emerge into a unique, magical world, filled with animals and creatures of both Myth and Fable that who are ruled by the great lion king of Narnia, Aslan.

During the production, every Saturday is “Narnia Costume Day.” Attendees 15 and younger are invited to dress up as their favorite Narnian creature. Those in costume on a Saturday night performance will receive two drawing tickets.
Drawings will be held each Saturday at intermission and a final drawing will be held at intermission Sunday, Oct. 7. Intermission winners will receive one ticket toward any youth show (only for those who come in costume). The drawing Oct. 7 is for a gift basket. The winner need not be present to win. Additional tickets for the basket raffle are available at the box office or at any show.
“Narnia” is produced by Aimee Avery and Suzanne Tomasello; directed by Ross Collins, musically directed by James Melberg, and choreographed by Noël Irick.
