Near record high temperatures coming

Temperatures will be approaching record high levels over the next couple of days as the daytime highs will approach 90 degrees in the Phoenix area.

Friday's high is forecast for 87 degrees with it predicted to go a degree higher, 88 on Saturday. In Fountain Hills the high is forecast at 86 on Saturday.

Early in the year people are not yet used to such warm temperatures. Officials are reminding people involved in outdoor activities to stay hydrated, wear light colored clothing and avoid exertion.
