Needle Rock access closed for holiday

Flooding from a series of storms damaged several roads on the Cave Creek Ranger District. Maricopa County Department of Transportation (MCDOT) has closed Forest Road 20 (Needle Rock Road) until repairs are completed.

As a result, Needle Rock Recreation Area will be closed over Labor Day Weekend. Visitors can still access the Lower Verde River at Box Bar Recreation Site.
