How much turnover on the Sanitary District Board is enough?
The two Sanitary Board candidates challenging the two incumbents, Tom Reski and Gregg Dudash, talk about the need for new people on the Sanitary Board to take a fresh look at how the Sanitary District operates.
What they don’t tell you (because they may not know) is that three of the current Sanitary Board members are recent additions, replacing members that died or moved out of town.

How much turnover on the Sanitary District Board is enough?

What they don’t tell you (because they may not know) is that three of the current Sanitary Board members are recent additions, replacing members that died or moved out of town.
The newest Board member, Michael Maroon, came on three months ago; Jerry Butler came on in January (10 months); and Gregg Dudash has been on for two years and six months.
In fact, if the two challengers win, only a single member, Robert Thomson, will have been on the Board for over one year!
Add to that the fact that the District’s new General Manager, Dana Trompke, took over in August (four months).
Having some Board turnover makes some sense. However, almost completely stripping the Sanitary Board of valuable knowledge and experience makes no sense.
Join me in voting to retain Gregg Dudash and Tom Reski. Between them, they have over 70 years of valuable Sanitary Board-related experience worth keeping.
