New Journey Lutheran Church in Fountain Hills is helping to bolster heat relief efforts in across the Valley.
The church is helping with Arizona Faith Network’s campaign to donate 1,000 lunches to people in need this summer. New Journey has prepared more than 200 sandwiches alone in this effort. Those lunches were made for GraceintheCity.org and delivered along with tangelos, chips, and servings of electrolyte powder.
“The top priority in terms of mission service for us is hunger relief. We’re not the only people doing it by a long shot, but we’re contributing to that by having our church and our partner churches in the Northeast Valley help,” NJLC Council President Kristine Bartanen said.
