New Maricopa County Sheriff says he’s ready to lead

There’s a new sheriff in town, Maricopa County.

Jerry Sheridan, a 40-year law enforcement veteran, is set to take the reins as Maricopa County sheriff from Russ Skinner early in 2025.

Sheridan, a Republican, beat out Tyler Kamp, a Democrat, in the November general election. He was last with the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office as chief deputy to Joe Arpaio in December 2016.
