I am pleased to announce that Linda McKeever has been approved by the Governing Board as the new principal for Fountain Hills Middle School.

After narrowing a pool of 17 applicants to three finalists, interviews were conducted on April 19 with separate committees of parents and community members, certified and classified staff, and district administrators. Written input was gathered from all of the committee members and reviewed thoroughly, resulting in my enthusiastic recommendation of Ms. McKeever as our next principal for grades four through eight.

Ms. McKeever brings an impressive track record of success at both the building and district levels. Linda is currently the Chief Academic Officer for Gilbert Public Schools and previously served as a middle school principal for seven years in the Washington Elementary School District and as an elementary assistant principal for three year in the Glendale Elementary School District.

She brings a tremendous level of expertise in the areas of curriculum, instruction and instructional leadership as well as a proven record of productively engaging staff, parents and community to reinforce high quality teaching and learning experiences.

Linda and I will coordinate with [current principal] Anita Gomez to provide some opportunities for parents, students and staff to meet Linda before the end of the school year.
