New trail in Fountain Hills Preserve open for adventure

Start the New Year on the Mesquite Hollow Trail

The volunteer Trailblazers with the Sonoran Conservancy of Fountain Hills have announced the opening of the newest trail in the Fountain Hills McDowell Mountain Preserve, the Mesquite Hollow Trail.

With only a few minor adjustments to be made yet, the trail is deemed safe and ready for the public. In fact, the workers saw runners already trying out the new trail as they were making final checks on the trail.

It was just about a year ago, after approval of the plan by the Fountain Hills Town Council, that the Sonoran Conservancy volunteer Trailblazers began work on the Mesquite Hollow Trail, which cuts across the northeast face of the McDowell Mountains.
