Nicholas Francis Majersky Jr., age 69, was born in Abilene, Texas on June 14, 1943 to parents Nicholas Francis Majersky Sr. and Julie C. Petrisko Majersky and passed away April 20, 2013 of lung cancer at the Veterans Memorial Hospital in Phoenix.
Nick served our military as a Marine during the Viet Nam War, 1962-1968.
Nick was passionate about life and living in Arizona allowed him to enjoy his favorite sport of golf as well as house boating with his friends, camping in Cherry, Ariz. and along the Verde River, taking his wife out for early morning breakfasts to Black Canyon City and Cave Creek.
He loved his family and enjoyed a busy home when visited by his kids and grandkids. Doing all the cooking and cleaning, he loved to feed everyone. Also teasing his grandkids and great grandchildren and sharing his stories with them.
His calling on Earth was the art of mastering his role and title of father/grandfather and great-grandfather and he did it well. His memory will be cherished and honored by all who had the pleasure of being a part of his life.
He is survived by his wife Donna J. Majersky, his son and step-son, Nicholas F. Majersky III, Shawn K. Rood (Jillyann), his step-daughters, Shelby D. Salka (Mike), Petie Rood and Lyndsey E. Kuche (Bill), and 11 grandchildren, Stevie-Lyn, John, Mallory ,Tyler, Allison, Britney, Austin, Brennon, Grace, Carson and Dharma and four great grandchildren, Kaila, Kenny, Serenity and Corbin.
Services were held Thursday, April 25, 2013 at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona, Phoenix.
